A Sydney's traditional bespoke suit begins with cloth. We'll guide you through our textile library and help you find the right material for your occasion, your taste, and your budget. Our cloths are sourced exclusively from mills with generations of expertise behind them, houses that have spent centuries perfecting weight, weave, and hand. Every fabric on the table is there on merit.
Sydney works closely and collaboratively with each client to realize their vision. A unique pattern is drafted to reflect your exact measurements, posture, and fit preferences. Once your cloth is chosen, a full postural analysis is taken alongside your measurements, because how you stand and move is as important as how you're sized. Every detail is discussed openly, from construction to finish, and you're with us at every stage from first consultation to final delivery.
The level of customization is extensive. At least five fittings are required throughout the process, each one bringing the garment closer to its final form. After 6,000 hand-stitches and 60 hours of work, the result is like no other garment. Full canvas construction ensures longevity, cotton shoulder pads and sleeve heads provide structure, and hand-bound buttonholes speak to the expertise behind every piece.
Loro Piana has been producing some of the world's finest wool and cashmere in the Italian Alps since 1924. Fox Brothers has been weaving cloth in Somerset, England since 1772. Holland and Sherry have been supplying the world's best tailors for over 180 years. These aren't brands, they're standards.
